For the safest and best possible candle experience, please follow all candle care and safety instructions provided with your Sunshine Shop Studios candle.

Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch. Keeping the wick properly trimmed can help promote a cleaner, more even burn and prevent an excessively large flame.

​

For container candles, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface when possible, particularly during the first burn. This can help promote an even burn throughout the life of the candle.

 

Do not burn a candle for more than four hours at a time. After extinguishing the candle, allow the wax and container to cool completely before trimming the wick or relighting.

​

Always burn candles on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface and away from drafts, vibrations, flammable materials, and anything that could catch fire.

​

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep burning candles within sight and away from children and pets.

Do not touch or move a burning candle or candle container while the wax is liquid or the container is hot.

Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and other debris.

​

Discontinue use when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of a container candle, or according to any additional safety instructions provided with the product.

​

Never use water to extinguish a candle.

​

Sculptural and freestanding candles should always be placed on an appropriately sized, stable, heat-resistant candle plate or holder capable of containing melted wax before lighting.
